The Google for Startups Black Founders Fund aims to provide early-stage, Black-founded startups throughout Africa with financial resources. The initiative not only offers cash awards and credits but also connects successful founders with Google's best products, practices, and people.

The company recognizes that access to capital and support is crucial for economic opportunity and is uniquely positioned to provide both to help founders grow their businesses. The ultimate goal of the initiative is to increase economic opportunity for promising Black startup founders, catalyze the growth of Black-led startups, foster innovative solutions to tough problems, and ultimately generate wealth for their communities.

Benefits of the Opportunity:
Cash Funding of up to $150,000 per startup
Up to $200k in Cloud Credits
Access to a network of mentors to help tackle each startup's unique challenges

Eligibility Criteria:
Start-ups from Africa (Botswana, Cameroon, Côte D'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya,
Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda,
and Zimbabwe.
Technical requirements:
Technology startups with an MVP, live product in market or business where technology is core to their ability to scale (not for consultancies or not-for-profits)
Compatibility with Google products—our products can accelerate their growth
