About the Opportunity

Expert DOJO is the third most active international early-stage startup accelerator in the United States, investing in over 100 startups since 2018. Expert DOJO will invest in over 80 startups in 2021, with plans to make over 1,000 investments over the next 10 years.

Building on the capital we're already actively deploying across Africa, we've committed to investing over $5M more in early-stage startups in Africa this year. US-based accelerator Expert DOJO is launching an Africa program in September, committing up to US$5 million to invest in early-stage African startups this year alone through between 20 and 50 new investments.

What We’re Looking For:

Pre-Series A, tech-enabled startups
Main operations based in Sub-Saharan Africa
Proven and scalable product, beyond the MVP-stage
Capital-efficient with a clear revenue model
Validated market demand, with at least ~$5K MRR

What We Provide:

Seed Investment: $100,000 USD for 7% equity
Virtual Accelerator: Three months of structured, strategic support
Africa Expertise: Dedicated team of cross-functional experts and EIRs who have years of local operating experience
Global Network: Investors and corporate stakeholders to assist with marketing, distribution, and sales
Ecosystem: Pan-African partnerships and entrenched network of local entrepreneurs and innovators
