📌 About the Opportunity:

UAF‑Africa provides rapid-response grants for urgent interventions that advance women’s human rights and gender justice. These grants enable feminist groups and movements throughout Africa to act swiftly in response to sudden challenges—such as legal threats, human rights violations, or environmental crises.

🌟 Grant Streams & Benefits:

• Rapid Response Grants: for quick interventions within 3 months

• Advocacy & Alliance Grants : for longer-term strategic campaigns

• Grants support actions around economic justice, gender-based violence, natural resource activism, climate justice and more 

✅ Who Can Apply:

• Women-led collectives, NGOs, movements, or informal groups across any African country (including South Africa)

• At least 70% women in decision-making roles and led by women

• Must be responding to urgent, unplanned events, aligned with feminist/change strategies

• Applications accepted in English, French, Swahili, Portuguese, and Arabic
