Calling All Writers: Apply for the DSAC & ANFASA Publishing Program

About the Opportunity:

The DSAC Publishing Hub is a collaborative programme between the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC) and the Academic and Non‑Fiction Authors’ Association of South Africa (ANFASA). It offers financial support and publishing pathways for South African writers—across all official languages, including Khoisan—to develop manuscripts for publication and engage with professional publishers

Benefits of the Opportunity:

 Grants & Support

• Grant amount: R 25,000 per selected author for content development.

• Additional support: Authors get paired with experienced publishers to guide through editing, production, and distribution

📑 Who Can Apply?

Authors/Writers

Open to all genres:

• novels,

• poetry,

• drama,

• narrative non‑fiction,

• children’s and YA fiction,

• and texts in all official South African languages.
