The African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF): Celebrating African Women through Empowerment.

The African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) is a Pan-African grant making organisation that supports the realisation and fulfillment of African women’s rights through funding of autonomous women’s organisations on the continent.

Since its inception in the year 2000, AWDF has awarded grants of US$59 million to over 1,300 women’s organisations in 47 countries in Africa and the Middle East

AWDF is happy to invite applications for grants from all eligible women-led and women’s rights groups and organisations.

If you are passionate about advancing women’s rights and creating systemic change, you can apply for a grant in one or more of the thematic areas listed below:
