(NHC), under the Department of Sport, Arts & Culture, has opened its 2025/2026 Heritage Funding Call. This grant supports community-based heritage projects focused on preserving and promoting South Africa’s cultural legacy through documentation, research, education, and training.

✅ Who Can Apply

South African citizens
Registered NPOs, NPCs, CBOs, NGOs, associations, foundations, community trusts (excluding family trusts), traditional councils, and educational institutions
- Exclusions: Closed corporations, for-profit entities, co‑ops, family trusts, and individuals cannot apply
