About the Opportunity:
The SEF, or Social Employment Fund, is a South African initiative aimed at tackling unemployment by supporting social and civic partners to create initiatives that address various societal challenges.
The SEF focuses on providing temporary work opportunities, particularly through "social employment," which involves capacitating civil society to address issues like health, education, and food security.
The SEF is inviting Entrepreneurs or NGO's/NPO's who have ideas that have the capacity to create jobs to submit their proposals.

Eligibility/Requirements:
1. Organizational Eligibility:
* Legal Registration: Applicants must be legally registered entities in South Africa. This includes:
* Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs)
* Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
* Social enterprises
* For-profit companies (subject to additional scrutiny to ensure alignment with SEF objectives)
2. Project Requirements:
* Employment Creation: Projects must have the capacity to employ a people
* Social Impact: Initiatives should address societal challenges such as health, education, food security, and other community needs.
3. Financial Management:
* Transparency: Applicants must demonstrate the institutional capacity to manage funds effectively and ensure that the majority of the funding benefits the participants directly.
