About the Opportunity

The Department of Tourism and Small Business Development Agency calls on qualified Chefs, Sommeliers and Baristas to join an exciting opportunity to develop, launch, and run their own businesses.

The Chefpreneur Programme has been designed to guide chefs, baristas, and sommeliers through the early development stages of their business and provide them with tools to launch and run a successful food and beverage business.

Part of the programme’s practical operational training is giving the chefs access to a fully equipped commissary dark kitchen.

Who are we?

Wakanda Food Accelerator scouts for SME entrepreneurs that are creating incredulous solutions in the food and food-tech space. We provide these entrepreneurs with corporate and business development services, a shared high-tech kitchen, capacity-building and market access opportunities. Our long-term vision is to promote a global appreciation for African food.

Submission Deadline:

17 September 2021

Criteria

• Must be between 18-35 years old

• Must be a South African Citizen

• Must have graduated from a recognized Food Service Institution

• Must have Access to Computer and Internet
